Healing the Sin-sick Soul

 

With scripture study, singing and personal testimony, our goal is to bring wholeness and healing to those in your congregation who simply need a jump-start on their spiritual life -- a soothing salve to the wounds left by everyday experiences--- a return to GiLEAD.

 

We're not targeting folks with serious depression or long-term melancholy. Rather we would like to bring the gentle touch of Christ back into the lives of those who may have temporarily lost their joy.

 

In the same way a marriage-enrichment retreat is NOT just for couples whose marriage is in trouble, the GiLEAD retreat is NOT just for troubled individuals. It is for anyone who seeks healing, restoration and renewal in their pilgrimage of faith.

 

 

As in all our ministries, our approach is uniquely Christian. We try to avoid denominational dogma while staying as true to the Word of God as possible in our planning and execution of each retreat.

 

The GiLEAD retreat can be carried out with a few or many. 10-25 is ideal.

 

Designed as an overnight retreat, we typically follow this format:

A one-day format can be implemented with a morning/afternoon schedule OR an afternoon/evening schedule.

 

Depending on the group, these can be pretty intense experiences. If you think folks in your group could use one-on-one counseling, we can provide a licensed Christian counselor to be available during the GiLEAD sessions; or you may provide your own.

 

While we much prefer to conduct these retreats at retreat centers, we very often do them at the church.

 

Each participant will be provided with a GiLEAD workbook for the event. Much of this material will be designed just for your group.

 

There is no set price for this retreat. We'll work with you in order to make this happen at your place.
